Foot Health Trade Association Objectives


Short Term plans

  1. To negotiate with the professional bodies a minimum standard for exhibition attendance

i. Adequate parking at meetings
ii. Security of exhibitors transport at meetings
iii. Adequate access to exhibition space-Flat levels for goods access
iv. Provision at stipulated times of sustenance to exhibitors as part of their package
v. Dedicated time slots for delegates to visit trade stands.
vi. Sensible costs-value for money for provision of trade space.
vii. Exhibitions to be open to non conference attendees at a cost.
viii. High trade involvement in organising and promoting future meetings.
ix. The Association to appoint a Diarist who would list all proposed meetings, exibition and conferences to alleviate double booking of dates.


Long Term Plans

  1. To lobby the professional bodies to promote better the value of the foot care specialist

  2. Encourage image building by advertising podiatry and the podiatrist as equal professionals to other medical disciplines by using research-case studies and examples of best practice as examples

  3. Develop direct mail shots and advertising campaigns

  4. Representation at European professional body meetings, conferences etc.
